Slot Glossary
33 terms covering Gates of Power's 6x5 scatter pays, cascading reels, Bolt Multipliers (x2-x1,000), persistent Free Spins Bolts, Super Bonus, and the path to 15,000x.
Autoplay
Spin Gates of Power on automatic for a set number of rounds. Optional stop conditions: stop on Free Spins trigger, stop on Super Bonus, or stop on a high-multiplier Bolt landing. Useful because the 4-scatter trigger sits at roughly 1 in 270 base spins — autoplay grinds dry stretches without manual clicks.
Base Game
Regular spins on the 6x5 scatter pays grid before Free Spins activates. Wins resolve through clusters of 8+ matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Hit frequency around 25%, so roughly one in four spins forms at least one paying cluster. Most session profit comes from cascade chains catching one or two strong Bolts.
Bet Range
$0.20 to $100 per spin on Gates of Power. Bet covers the entire 6x5 scatter pays grid. Bonus Buy where legal scales with your bet, so the same cost returns proportional value at any stake level.
Bolt Multipliers
Gates of Power's headline mechanic. Bolts crystallize above the reels and crack down at random — up to 5 active per spin. Each Bolt carries a multiplier between x2 and x1,000. When any cluster wins during the cascade, all active Bolt values apply at the end of the chain. Multiple Bolts add together (additive), not multiply. The x1,000 value is rare — under 1% of Bolt landings.
Bonus Buy (Feature Buy)
Skip base spins and jump straight into Free Spins. Gates of Power offers Bonus Buy at roughly 100x bet. Maintains the 96.03% base RTP. Restricted in UK, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands. BGaming distributes through licensed crypto-friendly operators globally.
Cascading Reels (Tumble)
Gates of Power's cascade mechanic. Winning clusters vanish, the rest drop down, fresh symbols fall from above, and the cascade keeps rolling for as long as the chain feeds itself. No fixed limit on consecutive tumbles. Bolt Multipliers attach to chain wins, so long cascades that catch active Bolts are where the bigger base-game wins come from.
Cluster Pays
Gates of Power uses cluster-style scatter pays. Wins form when 8+ matching symbols cluster anywhere on the 6x5 grid — no fixed paylines. Larger clusters pay exponentially more per matching symbol. The 6×5 grid (30 cells) provides more cluster formation opportunities than standard 5×3 or 5×5 grids.
Dead Spin
A spin that returns nothing. Gates of Power's high volatility produces dead spins around 70-75% of the time at base. Even dead spins can show Bolts crystallizing for visual flavor — those Bolts disappear without applying when no cluster wins. Stretches of 30+ dead spins are statistically normal between Free Spins triggers.
Feature Trigger Rate
How often Free Spins or Super Bonus activates. Gates of Power's 4-scatter trigger sits at roughly 1 in 270 base spins. The 5-scatter Super Bonus trigger is far rarer at ~1 in 1,200 base spins. Combined feature rate brings entertainment cycles into the 200-spin range on average.
Free Spins
Bonus rounds where you don't pay the stake. Gates of Power awards 15 Free Spins on a 4-scatter trigger. Inside the round: Bolt Multipliers spawn more frequently than base, and every Bolt that lands sticks for the rest of the feature instead of disappearing after its spin. The persistent Bolt pool grows as the round progresses. Retriggers add 5 more spins.
Hit Frequency
How often Gates of Power lands any winning cluster. Base game hit rate sits around 25% — roughly one in four spins forms at least one cluster. Long cascade chains (3+ tumbles in one spin) appear roughly 1 in 25 base spins, providing the moments when Bolts apply across multiple wins.
Max Win
The absolute maximum a slot can pay on a single round. Gates of Power caps at 15,000x (~$1.5M on max bet). The 15,000x cap shows up roughly 1 in every 1.5 million spins overall, almost entirely through the Super Bonus where Bolt frequency cranks higher and the multiplier values reach deeper into the upper range.
Multiplier
A value that multiplies your win. Gates of Power's Bolt Multipliers carry x2, x3, x5, x10, x25, x50, x100, x250, x500, and x1,000 values. Multiple active Bolts add together (not multiply) across the chain. Five Bolts at x100, x100, x250, x500, and x1,000 sum to x1,950 applied — not multiplied. Different from compound-multiplier slots.
Paylines
Gates of Power doesn't use paylines. Scatter Pays replaces the line format — wins form when 8+ matching symbols cluster anywhere on the 6x5 grid. The scatter-pays format means symbol density across the entire grid drives win probability rather than position alignment.
Paytable
The reference chart showing each symbol's payout for cluster sizes. Access through the game's info menu. Gates of Power's premium symbols (top Greek deities) pay the most for large clusters. Mid-tier symbols include themed mythology icons. Lower-tier card royals fill the bottom across the 30-cell grid.
Persistent Bolts
Gates of Power's Free Spins mechanic. During the bonus round, every Bolt Multiplier that lands sticks for the rest of the feature instead of disappearing after its spin. Each new Bolt adds to the active set. By spin 8-10, you can have 4-5 Bolts active simultaneously, dramatically multiplying any cluster win that follows.
RNG (Random Number Generator)
The cryptographic algorithm determining every spin outcome. BGaming uses iTech Labs-certified RNGs — independently audited for fairness. Each spin in Gates of Power is independent of the last; previous Bolt values or scatter counts have zero influence on future outcomes. Provably fair variants available on certain crypto-friendly operators.
RTP (Return to Player)
The theoretical percentage of wagered money a slot returns over millions of spins. Gates of Power runs at 96.03% — right at the industry standard 96%. Some operators may run lower variants (94-96% common). Always verify the exact percentage in the game info screen before spinning.
Retrigger Mechanic
Gates of Power's Free Spins extension. Land 3+ scatters during the Free Spins round and 5 additional spins are added on top of remaining spins. Persistent Bolts carry through retriggers — the active Bolt pool doesn't reset. Chained retriggers can stretch a 15-spin round past 25 spins with the multiplier pool still building.
Scatter
Gates of Power's feature trigger symbol. Four scatters anywhere on the grid open the 15-spin Free Spins round. Five scatters skip straight into the Super Bonus — premium variant with significantly higher Bolt frequency. Three scatters during the Free Spins round retrigger 5 additional spins.
Scatter Pays
Gates of Power's payline replacement. Any cluster of 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6x5 grid pays — no fixed positions, no payline alignment. The format suits the cascade-with-Bolts mechanic by allowing wide-area cluster formation as fresh symbols drop in.
Session Variance
The gap between actual results and theoretical RTP. Gates of Power's 96.03% RTP and high volatility produce wide session swings. A 500-spin session can return 30% to 250% of stake. Most expected return concentrates in Free Spins and Super Bonus triggers — sessions without a feature trigger track close to a flat loss rate.
Super Bonus
Gates of Power's premium Free Spins variant. Triggered by 5 scatters anywhere on the grid (~1 in 1,200 base spins). Awards 15 spins with the same persistent Bolt mechanic, but Bolt frequency is significantly higher and the upper end of the multiplier range is weighted more heavily — values like 250x, 500x, and 1,000x land at much higher rates. The path to the 15,000x cap.
Tumble Engine
Gates of Power's cascade resolution system. Powers the cluster pays mechanic — winning symbols vanish, fresh symbols drop into the gaps, and any new clusters that form from the new arrangement also pay. The chain continues until no further winning clusters appear. Bolt Multipliers attach to chain wins.
Volatility (Variance)
How a slot's payouts are distributed. Gates of Power is rated High — meaning long stretches of small or zero wins punctuated by occasional large bonus payouts driven by Bolt accumulation inside Free Spins or Super Bonus. Bankroll requirement: 600x stake minimum for a realistic shot at riding out the gap between Super Bonus encounters.
Wild
Gates of Power doesn't feature traditional Wilds. The Bolt Multipliers and scatter symbols fill the special-symbol roles. Bolts apply multipliers to cascade chain wins; scatters trigger Free Spins or Super Bonus. The cluster scatter-pays format makes traditional Wild substitution less relevant.
Win Distribution
How total payouts are spread across different win sizes. Gates of Power's high-volatility cluster format produces this distribution: Super Bonus contributes ~30% of total RTP, standard Free Spins ~35%, base-game cascade chains with Bolts ~25%, single-cluster base wins without Bolts ~10%. Heavy concentration in feature triggers.
BGaming Provider Catalog
BGaming is a Cyprus-headquartered provider known for crypto-friendly distribution and provably fair variants. Gates of Power sits in their Greek mythology catalog. iTech Labs certification covers their RNG. Distribution skews toward European regulated markets and crypto casinos. Recognized for innovative cascade-multiplier mechanics like Bonanza Billion.
Bolt Stacking Math
Gates of Power's Bolt application rules. Multiple active Bolts during a single cascade chain add together additively, not multiplicatively. Five Bolts at x10, x25, x50, x100, and x250 sum to x435 applied — not multiplied. The additive model still produces dramatic multipliers when multiple high-value Bolts land simultaneously, but doesn't compound exponentially like multiplicative wild stacking.
Bolt Persistence Across Tumbles
Gates of Power's cascade-Bolt interaction. Bolts that crystallize during a single spin remain active across all tumbles in that spin's chain. So a Bolt that lands on the initial spin applies to clusters formed in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and beyond tumbles — until the chain ends. Long cascade chains amplify Bolt value because the same Bolts apply to multiple consecutive cluster wins.
6×5 Grid with 30 Cells
Gates of Power's structural format. 6 reels × 5 rows = 30 cells. Larger than the standard 5×3 (15 cells) or 5×5 (25 cells) grids — provides more cluster formation opportunities. The 30-cell layout suits the scatter-pays-with-cascade format by allowing wide-area cluster formation as fresh symbols drop in from above.
Greek Mythology Symbol Hierarchy
Gates of Power's symbol tier order. Top-tier Greek deity symbols (Zeus and equivalents) pay the highest cluster values. Mid-tier mythology icons (lightning, columns, laurels) fill the middle. Lower-tier card royals (A/K/Q/J/10) round out the bottom. Cluster size scales the payout exponentially — premium symbol clusters above 12 stones can reach 50x stake before Bolt multipliers apply.
Bonus Buy Restrictions
Some countries ban purchasing bonus rounds. UK prohibits since October 2021. Sweden caps bet sizes during buys. Belgium and Netherlands also block. Gates of Power's Bonus Buy follows these restrictions. BGaming distribution routes through licensed operators where buy availability varies by jurisdiction.
